The focus is on the following sub-themes: Modeling, diagnosis, promotion, and development of student teachers' competencies. Digital media in teacher education, school and teaching. Inclusion and exclusion in society and the educational system. Linguistic heterogeneity and language sensitivity in teacher education and teaching as well as professionalization processes in the first and third phase of teacher education. Der Sammelband "Vielfältig herausgefordert" bündelt zentrale wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse der ersten Förderphase innerhalb des Bundesprogramms "Qualitätsoffensive Lehrerbildung" an der Tübingen School of Education. Die Publikation, die sich gleichermaßen an Akteure der Lehrerbildung in Wissenschaft, schulischer Praxis sowie in der Bildungsadministration richtet, zeichnet sich nicht nur durch ihre thematische Vielfalt, sondern auch durch die Breite an forschungsmethodischen Zugängen, Paradigmen und Diskursen aus.
