Summary:This research aimed at identifying perception of men employees toward women leader viewed from two perspectives, ratio between men leader and women leader and also transformational leadership. Object in this research is Central Java Board Investment office that headed by a women leader for the first time. This research used qualitative with ethnographic approach. Samples were taken in this research were 6 men employees who worked in Central Java Board Investment office. One head of division, one head of sub division, one head of Section, two staff and one driver. The results from this research showed that there was no significant difference between men leaders and women leaders in terms of assertiveness, decision making, motivation at work, emotional nature, intelligence, creativity, confidence, and others. In addition, this research also showed that women leaders who led Central Java Board Investment office tend to have the characteristics of transformational leadership behaviors. Five indicators of transformational leadership used in this study is the charisma, Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation, and Individualized Consideration
