Summary:One of the factors that supporting the success of education is teachers. Besides having a very big role, the teachers are also have role as agents of change. Not only give the universal values for us, teachers are also give moral and religious education. As an important part of the educational process, teachers should get standard management and good regulation. However, in actual practice of the education system in Indonesia, there are the term of temporary teacher, who have not received clarity welfare and employment status. Welfare of temporary teachers are so minimal and can not comparable with the weight of their job duties. This indicates that temporary teachers have the job motivation. Islam has rules to all aspects of human life. One of that is the learning regularity of job motivation. Islam also pays great attention to the teachers. This research aims to analyze the intrinsic factors which influence job motivation of temporary teachers in Islamic perspective. This research used qualitative methods in which data collection are done with the structured interview. The sample in this research were temporary teachers who have tenure more than three years in Private Islamic Junior High School at Semarang city. The results of this research stated that the job motivation of temporary teachers are influenced by intrinsic motivation factors which inherent in self-temporary teachers. The factors of intrinsic motivation are consists of value or believe, perception, purpose, expectations, attitude, and ability, that shown in the temporary teachers behavior.
