Summary:The objectives of this research are for exploring the condition and characteristic of Agropolitan Region of KAPET Bandungan in Semarang Regency and analyzing the priority aspects and alternatives strategy to develop Agropolitan Region of KAPET Bandungan in Semarang Regency. The research was conducted in Sumowono and Bandungan sub-districts which are included in Kawasan Pengembangan Ekonomi Terpadu (KAPET) Bandungan. The method used in the research is mix method. Mix method is a unification procedure of quantitative and qualitative data into information in the interpretation of whole result; that is by descriptive statistics analysis, R/C Ratio, and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The result shows that generally the condition and characteristic of Agropolitan Region of KAPET Bandungan in Semarang Regency faces a stagnation or undeveloped condition because of the dysfunction of agribusiness sub-sub system. The result of AHP analysis shows that the sequences of priority aspect in the development strategy of Agropolitan Region of KAPET Bandungan in Semarang Regency are aspect of the supporting service subsystem, the distribution and marketing subsystem, the on-farm subsystem, the down-stream subsystem, and the up-stream subsystem. The highest priority of alternative strategy is for improving the involvement of farmer on planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling policy and agropolitan activity.
