Poetry is an expression of thefeelings, the ideas about the social life of the poet are packaged in beautiful words and arranged in one sentence or more. Haiku is a Japanese poetry that was once the center of the tradition of poetry in Japan (Beasley, 228: 1999). Haiku poet Basho traveled to many other places in Japan as well as other artists and the way they produce some of the literary works in the form of haiku and other stories. Required an analysis to be able to know the meaning of haiku poems expressed the poet. One method that can be used in analyzing the poem by using symbols semiotic analysis expressed by Charles Sander Pierce and methods of hermeneutics. Haiku is a poem with the theme of nature into a temple of limited significance. The method used to analyze the natural symbol of a haiku is a semiotic method according to Charles Sander Pierce stating that the sign be representative is something that represents something else. Furthermore, to determine the overall meaning of haiku used hermeneutic method. The results of the analysis of this thesis ishaiku that created by poet which a poet expression overflow Immediately upon seeing the condition or the circumstances surrounding and associated with the state in the Edo era. The symbols used in haiku is a representation of the state that seen or experienced. Key words: haiku, natural symbol, semiotic, triadic, Pierce, hermeneutic. | ||
