Based on the establishment in the sentence, ukemi divided into two. That is: chokusetsu ukemi and kansetsu no ukemi. Ukemi is a material that is difficult for Japanese language learners. The researcher interest to research the eror analysis using ukemi in Japanese literature student. The researcher used quantitative method. Population on this research was the students of Japanese literature of Diponegoro University at 2013 class. The sample was 64 students and used slovin formula to take the sample. The data was taken from test. The result of this research were the misapplication of using ukemi are 57,06%. It showed that the misapplication ukemi categorize in average. Such errors include, errors in the use of particles and also translation of ukemi in the Indonesian language such as mother tongue. Keywords : ukemi, eror analysis.
