520 |a Background: One of the issues that drew the attention today is bullying in school. This is against the Child Protection Act Section 54. School occupies a strategic position in health promotion. Based on its methodology, health promotion in schools is very strategic because it has a supporting institutional, namely the school health program (UKS). The law No. 23 of 1992 article 45 of Health stated that the health of the school was held to improve the ability of student to live in a healthy living environment in order to learn, grow, and develop in a harmonious and optimized situation. Therefore, they can be an excellent qualified of human resources. Objective: To determine the factors affecting the role of the UKS to prevent bullying in high school and vocational school in Semarang. Methods: This is an observational analitical study using cross sectional design. Respondents were high school and vocational school students in Semarang. Subjects who had been elected and given informed consent were interviewed using a questionnaire. Data was collected, processed and described in the form of tables and figures. Results: Percentage of the level of health education is 50% (less), percentage of health service is 36% (less), percentage of school environment is 36% (moderate or good), percentage of UKS employment is 38% (moderate), percentage of health facilities is 36% (excellent), 68% students said that they did not get support from their parents, while 52% did not get funding resources (less). 76% respondents said that there was no evaluation and reporting of bullying cases. UKS employment is the most influential factor on the role of UKS to prevent bullying in school, with OR 2.880. Conclusion: The health education level, health service, school environment, UKS employment, health facilities, parental support, funding resource, evaluation and reporting of bullying case were the influencing factors of the UKS role in the prevention of bullying in high school and vocational school in Semarang.
