Statistical data refers to patients with inflammatory complication shown tendency to coanstantly increase from 78% to 80%. Severe burn injury cause Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS) which can leads to sepsis and severe sepsis. Objective : To determine the relation between moderate and major burn injury and the other factor such as age, sex, hemoglobin, leukocyte, electrolyte, creatinine, albumine, comorbids, and care center that relate with sepsis at RSUP Dr. Kariadi. Method : The study was an observational analytic study with retrospective model which was conducted from April - June 2016. Cases were moderate and severe burn patients with sepsis while the control was only moderate and severe burn patients at RSUP Dr. Kariadi. The data was taken from medical records and then was analyzed to determine the relationship between moderate and severe burn patients with sepsis. SPSS program was used to anaylze the data. Results : Obtained 11 patients with moderate and severe burn wound sepsis and 47 moderate and severe burn without sepsis as a control. Variables statistically significance were confounding variables hemoglobin (p=0,023), albumin (p=0,012), comorbidity diseases (p=0,035) and place of treatment (p=0,003). Conclusion : There is no significant relation between moderate and severe burn with sepsis at RSUP Dr. Kariadi. Confounding Variables which are statistically significant are hemoglobin, albumin, comorbodity diseases, and place for treatment. Keyword : Burn injury, sepsis
