First is mentioning any verbs in directive speech act and meaning in directive speech act inside light novel. Directive speech act is the speech act to doing something. There is four types of directive speech act. First is command directive speech, second is request or appeal directive speech, third is prohibition directive speech, and fourth is permission directive speech. Every speech act has meanings is participant relations. In this research, the writer analyses directive speech act and meanings with light novels. The title of light novel is Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. It mostly uses descriptive method. First method is collecting the datas and taking notes which datas are contained directive speech. It uses Koizumi and Yule theory about pragmatic, Hymnes theory about SPEAKING, Searle's illocutionary speech act theory and classification, and Masuoka-Takubou theory about muudo verbs. And the last, is using the informal method. The results are there are a lot of contrast in participant relations. Those are different position of the participants or age of the participants. Like a gap between subordinate with elder age and superior with younger age. There are 33 datas of directive speech acts. Most of them are command directive speech with ~te/~te kure lingual verbs.
