Description
Summary:The research on monitoring the distribution of mudarabah financing at syariah banks in the work area of Financial Service Authority (OJK) Jember was carried out to confirm the suitability of the real situation on the field with the applied Islamic and precautionary principles. This research aimed to determine the monitoring of mudharabah financing distribution at Islamic banks in work area of KOJK Jember. This research was to describe the monitoring of mudharabah financing at syariah banks in work area of KOJK Jember using qualitative method with descriptive type. Data were collected by interview and documentation, to obtain a more in-depth information, especially about what was not discovered during observation. The key informants were syariah bank supervisors at KOJK Jember. The results showed that the supervision of mudharabah financing used two ways: direct supervision (on-site supervision) and indirect supervision (off-site supervision). The supervision on the distribution of mudharabah financing, if evaluated internally from the banking side, had been good; however, externally from the customer side, the supervision could not be drawn due to lack of information. Bank supervision was conducted based on the precautionary principles and riskbased supervision system, which serves to detect the risks as early as possible. Based on the results of monitoring in the form of periodic reports and real conditions in the field, follow-up would be will be given under normal, intensive and specific supervisions. Thus, the surveillance conducted by KOJK Jember could be optimal, because, in addition to sanctions for offenders, it also presented awards and prizes for banks that continued to compete to be the best
