Background: Candidiasis is caused by Candida albicans (C. albicans) that living commensally in the oral cavity that can turn into pathogens. C. Albicans pathogen is influenced by host factors called immune system, one of which monocytes. Current antifungal drugs are not effective and resistant against C. albicans. On the other hand, coffeerobusta leaves contains of polyphenols (tannins and CGA) and caffeine were shown to have effects as antioxidant, antifungal, and immunomodulator. A new antifungal agent which can also act as an immunomodulator is required. Purpose: To determine the activity of monocytes phagocytosis by provision of robusta coffee leaves decoction to C. albicans. Methods: This study used isolated monocytes which had been divided into 2 control groups of controls; K0 (untreated) and K1 (given Isoprinosine) and 4 treatment groups; P1 (25% decoction), P2 (50% decoction), P3 (75% decoction), and P4 (100% decoction). After the treatments had given, C. albicans exposure was conducted and monocyte phagocytosis activity was observed subsequently. Results: There was an increase in phagocytosis activity in the group of P1, P2, P3, and P4 compared with K0 and K1. Conclusion: Robusta coffee leave decoction of the phagocytosis can increase the activity of monocytes phagocytosis to C. albicans
