520 | |a This study aims to analyze the impacts of international trade, Foreign Direct Investment, ener gy consumption, and GDP on carbon dioxide emission in Thailand during the period of 1981- 2015. The method used in this research is Vector Autoreggresive (VAR). The findings show t hat international trade has a significant negative effect on carbon dioxide emission. This mea ns an increase in international trade will reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in Thailand. Th en, energy consumption and GDP show a significant positive effect on carbon dioxide emissi on. This means that increased energy consumption and GDP will increase carbon dioxide in Thailand. The research results have policy implications for the effort to reduce carbon dioxid e emission primarily in the industrial sector to support green economic growth in Thailand. T he originality of this study derives from the fact that the research was only conducted in Thail and which has economic growth closely related to the level of environmental degradation. | ||
