This research was an experimental research. It was intended to know the significant effect of using Crossword Puzzle on vocabulary achievement of the eighth grade students of MTs Kebunrejo Banyuwangi. The design of this research was experimental research using Post-test only control group design. The treatment was given to the Experimental group that was taught vocabulary by using Crossword Puzzles. The primary data of this research were obtained from the students' scores of vocabulary test. The data were analyzed by using ttest formula. The result indicated that the value of t-test was 3.58, while the ttable with significant level 5% and degree of freedom (Df) 82 was 1.98. The value of t-test was 3.58 and it was higher than 1.98 (3.58 > 1.98). It means that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected while the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. In conclusion, there was a significant effect of using Crossword Puzzle on the eighth grade students' vocabulary achievement at MTs Kebunrejo Banyuwangi.
