Description
Summary:Prosiding Seminar Nasional Hasil Penelitian Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian Departemen Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada 2018
The aim of this study was to analyze the comparison of sugarcane productivity based on cropping patterns (plant cane or ratoon cane) and to analyzethe factors that infl uence Plant Cane (PC) and Ratoon Cane (RC). This study was taken palce at the PTPN X. The method of selecting the location of the study was purposive because PTPN X was one of the SOEs that had the largest productivity of sugar cane and sugar in East Java. The sample is determined purposively with consideration that there is no sampling frame available in the study area so the sample farmers are selected based on certain criteri. The number of sample farmer households in this study was 48 people. Productivity analysis and t-test approach are used to determine the comparative productivity of PC and RC. Regression analysis was used to determine the factors that affect sugarcane productivity based on cropping patterns (Plant cane and Ratoon cane). Based on the results of the analysis it was found that there were differences between sugarcane productivity through Plant Cane (PC) and Ratoon Cane (RC). Factors that infl uence the production of PC plants are land area variables (X ), ZA fertilizer (X 3 ), and labor (X 6 ), while the factors that infl uence RC production: land area variables (X ) and labor (X ). This is in accordance with the fi eld conditions that increasing the area of land and labor will increase sugarcane production. The balanced use of fertilizer will also increase sugarcane production provided fertilizer is available.
