Summary:Maintaining exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months is still not optimal. The number of factors that become obstacles in giving exclusive breastfeeding. One of the most common cases is that mothers prefer formula milk to fulfill their baby's needs because it is easier. The purpose of this research was to analyse the mothers in maintaining exclusive breastfeeding in Panti District, Jember Regency. This research uses descriptive analytic type of research with cross-sectional research methods. This study will use purposive sampling with a sample of 107 respondents. Analysis of the data obtained in the Panti District of Jember Regency is the average age of 27 years, most mothers only have a number of children less than 2 respondents 86 (80.4%), the average age of 5-year-old babies is 6 months at most ie about 26 babies (24.3%). The most recent education was done by elementary school as many as 35 respondents (32.7%), while the average work of mothers as housewives was 87 respondents (81.3%), the highest reading family in one month compared to one million million 60 people (56.1%). From the results of the analysis that supports exclusive breastfeeding shows moderate results, as many as 63 respondents (58.9%). This shows that in maintaining exclusive breastfeeding is still not said to be good. Health workers must be more disciplined to mothers who have babies in order to maintain exclusive breastfeeding more optimal.
