Summary:This research is motivated by the lack of knowledge in society about local culture, which is benjang art, specifically the benjang art at the art institution of benjang lingga buana. The purpose of this research is to describe (1) the historical development of benjang art at the art institution of benjang lingga buana, (2) benjang arts performance at the art institution of benjang lingga buana, (3) art values that embodied in benjang art at the art institution of benjang lingga buana, and (4) learning materials reading in article about culture for the 12th grade in senior high school. This research is analyzed by descriptive method. The data is collected by observation techniques, interview and documentation. Based on the research, benjang art is divided into three kinds of performance; benjang helaran, benjang mask and benjang wrestling. Art value, function, and meaning exist in art benjang, it closely related to the educational character that can be applied to the learning school. The advantages of this research are to give the additional knowledge and to create the sense of pride in society about arts in their regions.;Kasang tukang masalah dina ieu panalungtikan nya éta kurangna pangaweruh masarakat ngeunaan kabudayaan lokal, nya éta ngeunaan kasenian bénjang, hususna kasenian bénjang di Paguron Seni Bénjang Lingga Buana. Ieu panalungtikan miboga tujuan pikeun (1) medar sajarah kamekaran kasenian bénjang di Paguron Seni Bénjang Lingga Buana, (2) prak-prakan kasenian bénjang di Paguron Seni Bénjang Lingga Buana, (3) ajén seni nu nyampak dina kasenian bénjang Paguron Seni Bénjang Lingga Buana, jeung (4) bahan pangajaran maca artikel ngeunaan kabudayaan di kelas XII. Ieu panalungtikan dianalisis ngagunakeun métode déskriptif. Data nu dikumpulkeun ngagunakeun téhnik obsérvasi, wawancara, jeung dokuméntasi. Dumasar hasil panalungtikan kasenian bénjang kabagi kana tilu pintonan, nya éta bénjang helaran, topéng bénjang, jeung bénjang gelut/gulat. Ajén budaya, fungsi, jeung ma'na nu nyampak dina kasenian bénjang gedé pakaitna jeung atikan karakter nu bisa dilarapkeun dina pangajaran di sakola. Mangpaat tina ieu panalungtikan nya éta bisa nambahan pangaweruh sarta rasa reueus kana kasenian daérahna sewang-séwangan. ; Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap kebudayaan lokal, yaitu kesenian benjang, khususnya ksenian benjang di Perguruan Seni Benjang Lingga Buana. Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mendeskripiskan (1) sejarah perkembangan kesenian benjang di Perguruan Seni Benjang Lingga Buana, (2) pertunjukan kesenian benjang Perguruan Seni Benjang Lingga Buana,(3) nilai seni yang terkandung dalam kesenian benjang Perguruan Seni Benjang Lingga Buana, dan (4) bahan pembelajaran membaca artikel tentang kebudayaan di SMA kelas XII. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tekhik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian, kesenian benjang terbagi menjadi tiga jenis pertunjukan, yaitu benjang helaran, topeng benjang, dan benjang gelut/gulat. Nilai seni, fungsi, dan makna yang terdapat dalam kesenian benjang erat kaitanya dengan pendidikan karakter yang bisa diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Manfaat dari penelitian ini yaitu menambah ilmu pengetahuan masyarakat serta rasa bangga terhadap kesenian di daerahnya masing-masing.
