520 |a Kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik masih rendah. Oleh sebab itu, untuk mengatasinya digunakan model pembelajaran siklus 7M berbasis berpikir kritis. Model pembelajaran siklus 7M merupakan salah satu model aliran konstruktivisme yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Penggunaan model tersebut, akan membantu peserta didik menemukan dan membentuk sendiri pengetahuannya menjadi konsep-konsep yang akan lebih mudah mereka ingat dan pahami. Model siklus 7M terdiri atas memancing, melibatkan, menyelidiki, menjelaskan, mengembangkan, memperluas, dan mengevaluasi. Adapun penerapan model ini di dalam kelas adalah melalui kegiatan eksperimen secara berkelompok dan membentuk simpulan menjadi sebuah konsep berdasarkan hasil temuan. Penelitian ini mengkaji; 1) profil pembelajaran menulis teks laporan hasil observasi; 2) kemampuan awal dan akhir kelas eksperimen dan kontrol; 3) proses pembelajaran model siklus 7M berbasis berpikir kritis; dan 4) pengaruh model pembelajaran siklus 7M berbasis berpikir kritis terhadap menulis teks laporan hasil observasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The Matching Only Pretest-Postest Control Group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi, dengan mengambil sampel kelas VIIB dan VIID. Pada kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan model untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh model terhadap kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik. Penghitungan statistik memberikan hasil bahwa terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi setelah diberikan perlakuan. Berdasarkan kategori Cohen's, model pembelajaran siklus 7M berbasis berpikir kritis memiliki pengaruh 92% (large) terhadap kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik.;--- The ability to writing report text of obervation of learners is still low. Therefore, to overcome used learning 7E cycle model critical thinking based. The learning 7E cycle model is one of constructivism which is oriented on students. Using the models will help the students find and shaw their own knowledge to be concept that will be understood by them easier. The model of cycle 7E consist of elicit, engage, explore, explain, elaborate, extend, and evaluate. This model is applied in the classroom with experimental activities in group and form the conclusion to be a concept based on the finding. This research reviewing; 1) the study profile of writing report text of obervation result; 2) the pre and the post test in writing report text of obervation result in experiment and control class; 3) learning procces based on 7E cycle critical thinking based; and 4) the effect of the learning model 7E cycle critical thinking based on the ability of writing report text. This research used a quasi-experimental design test which is The Matching Only Pretest-Postest Control Group. Population on this research are students in SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi, grade VIIB and VIID are the sample taken. In experimental class is given a model to be seen how the model influence the ability of the students in writing report text. The result told that there is a significant inprofement in writing report text by used 7E cycle which is oriented on critical thinking. Based on the Cohen's category, the ability of writing report text of observation have 92% (large) influence on the learning model 7E cycle critical thinking based.
