| Summary: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara social dominance orientation (SDO) dengan sikap terhadap aggressive humor. SDO adalah bagaimana individu menganut suatu nilai atau ideologi yang mempertahankan atau memperkuat hirarki di dalam suatu masyarakat dan sejauh mana individu menginginkan kelompok atau diri mereka untuk menjadi dominan atas kelompok atau individu lain (Pratto, Sidanius, Stallworth, & Malle, 1994). Sikap terhadap aggressive humor adalah kecenderungan individu untuk memahami, merasakan, bereaksi dan berperilaku terhadap humor yang bersifat mencela dan memanipulasi orang lain seperti menyindir, mengejek, menggoda,merendahkan, dan bersifat offensive. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 194 mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) yang diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner online. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data uji korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat hubungan yang positif antara SDO dengan sikap terhadap aggressive humor pada mahasiswa Psikologi UPI. Saran dari penelitian ini untuk para pendidik diharapkan mampu memberikan nilai-nilai yang tidak mengandung diskriminatif kepada anak didiknya agar dapat mengurangi sikapnya terhadap humor yang bersifat mencela dan memanipulasi orang lain.;--- This study aims to determine the relationship between social dominance orientation (SDO) attitudes toward aggressive humor. SDO is how people embrace a value or ideologies that maintain or reinforce hierarchies within the community and the extent to which individuals desiring group or themselves to be dominant over the other groups or individuals (Pratto, Sidanius, Stallworth, & Malle , 1994). Attitudes toward aggressive humor is the tendency of individuals to understand, feel, react and behave towards deprecating humor and manipulate others as satirical, mocking, teasing, degrading and a kind of offensive. Subjects in the study was 194 students of Educational Psychology, University of Indonesia (UPI) taken by random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using online questionnaire. This study uses a quantitative approach with correlation pearson product momment to data analysis techniques for. The results showed a positive relationship exists between the SDO with attitude towards an aggressive humor in psychology student UPI. Suggestions from this study for educators are expected to provide values that do not contain discriminatory to their students in order to reduce its attitude towards nature deprecating humor and manipulate others. |
