Summary:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui materi dan tahapan pembelajaran, penerapan metode dan pendekatan, serta hasil pembelajaran kontrabas pada siswa kelas IX di SMPK Bina Bakti Program MATIUS Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan, yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil proses pembelajaran siswa kelas IX setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran kontrabas di SMPK Bina Bakti Program MATIUS Bandung yaitu murid dapat memahami struktur/organologi kontrabas, bisa membaca ritmis, membaca notasi balok, dan memainkan kontrabas dengan posisi baik dan benar. Pembelajaran kontrabas di SMPK Bina Bakti Program MATIUS Bandung memiliki kekurangan yakni durasi pembelajaran yang tidak memadai sehingga materi pembelajaran yang telah disusun tidak dapat disampaikan secara menyeluruh. ;--- This study was conducted to describe contrabass, teaching material and learning steps, learning methods, learning approach implementation, and learning outcomes on class IX students in SMPK Bina Bakti MATIUS Program, Bandung. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data for this research collected by interviews, observation, and documentation study. From the research, it is known that students are be able to read musical notes and play contrabass in good position. The contrabass learning process in SMPK Bina Bakti MATIUS Program, Bandung has some shortcomings that is inadequate study duration so that the learning materials that have been developed can not be delivered completely.This study was conducted to describe contrabass, teaching material and learning steps, learning methods, learning approach implementation, and learning outcomes on class IX students in SMPK Bina Bakti MATIUS Program, Bandung.
