Summary:Pendidikan karakter dewasa ini bukan lagi merupakan hal baru. Di Kabupaten Purwakarta kebijakan pendidikan berkarakter termaktub dalam PERBUP No. 69 Tahun 2015. Berbagai macam program pendidikan telah diluncurkan, termasuk program pembelajaran BTQ dan kitab kuning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan serta hasil pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran kitab kuning dan BTQ khususnya di SMP Negeri 1 Wanayasa. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, karakter yang diajarkan melalui pembelajaran kitab kuning dan BTQ adalah sebagaimana karakter yang dicontohkan oleh Rasulullah Saw. Seperti karakter religius, jujur, dapat dipercaya, berani, tanggung jawab dan kecintaan. Pembelajaran kitab kuning dan BTQ dilaksanakan melalui pelajaran membaca (qira'ah), menulis (khat) serta menerjemahkan dan memahami ayat-ayat Alquran (interpretasi ayat) pada surat-surat yang telah ditentukan atau materi kitab kuning sendiri. Selain itu, ditambah dengan tahfidzul quran pada akhir semester sebagai evaluasi. Juga tambahan pelajaran me-lughoh untuk pembelajaran kitab kuning. Menggunakan kitab Safinah, pembelajaran disampaikan melalui pendekatan teacher center dengan metode ceramah dan bandongan. Hasil pendidikan karakter ini dapat terlihat dari keikutsertaan peserta didik dalam kegiatan- kegiatan pembiasaan di sekolah. Seperti pembiasaan shalat sunnah dhuha, puasa sunnah Senin-Kamis, membaca Alquran atau pun Asmaul Husna sebelum pembelajaran dimulai, patuh kepada guru maupun tata tertib sekolah, serta bersikap santun terhadap guru dan warga sekolah lainnya. ;--- Character education today is not a new issue. In Purwakarta Regency, the character education policy is stated in PERBUP (Regent Regulation) No. 69 Year 2015. A variety of educational program has been released, including BTQ and yellow book learning programs. This study aims at finding out the plannings, implementation, and results of character education through yellow book and BTQ learning, especially at SMP Negeri 1 Wanayasa. By using a qualitative-descriptive approach, the data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Then, based on the results of this study, the characters taught through yellow book and BTQ learning resulted in the expected characters as exemplified and modeled by the Prophet Muhammad Shollallahu Alaihi Wasallam, such as religious, honest, trustworthy, courageous, responsible and loving characters. In its implementation, yellow book and BTQ learning was carried out through reading (qira'ah), writing (khat), and translating as well as understanding Qur'anic verses (interpretation of the verses) on predetermined chapters (Surah) or yellow book materials. In addition, the tahfidzul quran program was also included at the end of the semester as an evaluation. As a supplementary program, a lughoh lesson was also included as a means of learning yellow books. Using Safinah book, the lesson was delivered through the teacher center approach in the form of lecture and bandongan methods. The results of this character education could be seen from the participation of the students in the habituation activities in school, such as dhuha sunnah prayer, Monday-Thursday sunnah fasting, reading the Qur'an or Asmaul Husna before the class was started, being obedient to the teachers and school regulations, and being polite to the teachers and other school teaching members and staff.
