Summary:Selfassessment merupakan salah satu bentuk keterlibatan peserta didik secara aktif dalam pembelajaran. Adanya kegiatan self assessment dalam pembelajaran diharapkan dapat memberi kontribusi positif bagi perkembangan kognisi peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui implementasi self assessment dalam pembelajaran PEOE sebagai upaya meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa SMA pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu quasi experiment. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group pretest - posttest design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dua kelas X dari salah satu SMA Negeri di Bandung dengan total 59 peserta didik yang terdiridari 30 pesertadidikdalamkelaseksperimendan 29 pesertadidikdalamkelaskontrol. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa implementasi self assessment dalam pembelajaran dapat dimulai dari tahap penjelasan kepada peserta didik, peserta didik melakukan self assessment, analisis self assessment dan pemberian feedbackberupa oral feedback.Hasilpenghitungan uji dua rerata terhadap nilai posttest kelas kontrol dan eksperimen menunjukkan perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan, dengan nilai sig 2-tailed = 0,035 < α (0,05). Hal ini berarti implementasi self assessment dalam pembelajaran PEOE yang dilakukan pada kelas eksperimen dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik terkait materi pencemaran lingkungan. Kelompok kelas eksperimen yang melakukan self assessment selanjutnya diberikan lembar tanggapan terhadap penerapan self assessment dalam pembelajaran PEOE, dan hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta didik memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap implementasi self assessment dalam pembelajaran PEOE. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, maka implementasi self assessment dalam pembelajaran perlu dilakukan. The implementation of self assessment in learning is expected to give positive contribution to the development of cognition students. The aim of this research is to know the implementation of self-assessment in PEOE learning as an effort to improve high school student understanding the environmental pollution concept. The research that conducted was quasi experiment. The research design used was nonequivalent control group pretest - posttest design. The sample in this research was two class x from one of the high schools in bandung with totaly 59 learners, consisting 30 learners in the experimental class and 29 students in the control class with purposive sampling technique. Based on the research, we found that the implementation of self assessment in learning were begin from explanations, students do self assessment , an analysis of self assessment and delivery feedback of teacher. The result of the two-t test on the posttest incontrol class to experiment class reflect the significantly value with sig 2-tailed = 0,035 < α (0,05). This means the implementation of self assessment in learning PEOE done on class experiment can improve mastery the concept of students material related environmental pollution. A class experiment groups then gavesome responses to the application of self assessment in learning PEOE.The results showed that 85 % school tuition give positive responses to the implementation self assessment in learning PEOE.
