| 520 | |a Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika dan faktanya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh Model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara ekspositori; 2) mengetahui sikap atau respon siswa terhadap penerapan Model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitiannya adalah kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 3 Lembang dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak. Salah satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran Model Realistic Mathematics Education dan kelas lain sebagai kelas kontrol yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara ekspositori. Adapun data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket skala sikap. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh Model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara ekspositori; 2) pada umumnya respon siswa terhadap Model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education adalah positif.----------This research is administered due to the importance of Mathematical communication skill in Mathematics education and in fact the Mathematical communication skill of students is very low. The purposes of this research are: 1) to find out whether the mathematical communication skill of students who receive Realistic Mathematics Education learning model is better compared to the students who receive expository learning model; 2) to know the students' attitude or response to the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model. Quasiexperimental method is applied in this research and the research design employs non-equivalent control group. The population in this research is the whole students of VII grade of SMP Negeri 3 Lembang with 2 classes which are chosen randomly as samples. One of the classes which is randomly chosen as experimental group receives the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model and the other class, the control group, receive the learning process which employs the expository model. The data of the research is gained from Mathematical communication skill test and questionnaire of attitude scale. The result of the research shows that: 1) the improvement of Mathematical communication skill of students who receive the Realistic Mathematic Education is higher than the students who receive the learning process through the expository model; 2) in general, the response of the students to the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model is positive. | ||
