Summary:Diabetes mellitus kini muncul sebagai salah satu ancaman utama bagi kesehatan manusia di abad ke-21. Hiperglikemia merupakan manifestasi klinis dari gangguan diabetes dimana kadar glukosa dalam plasma darah melebihi batas normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar gula darah mencit (Mus musculus L.) yang diinduksi hiperglikemia setelah mengkonsumsi biskuit tepung kulit pisang Kepok (Musa paradisiaca formatypica). Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam kali pengulangan dan lima perlakuan yaitu kontrol positif, kontrol negatif, kadar 25%, 50% dan 75% tepung kulit pisang Kepok. Mencit jantan diberi perlakuan biskuit tepung kulit pisang Kepok selama 14 hari setelah sebelumnya diinduksi aloksan untuk menciptakan kondisi hiperglikemia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biskuit dengan penambahan tepung kulit pisang 50% dan 75% dapat menurunkan kadar gula pada mencit yang diinduksi hiperglikemia sebanyak 34,72% dan 34,61%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu biskuit tepung kulit pisang Kepok dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah mencit jantan hiperglikemia.;---Diabetes mellitus is one of the major threats to human health in the 21st century, hyperglycemic itself is a clinical manifestation of diabetes disorders. Hyperglycemic is a condition of blood glucose level that exceed normal limits. The purpose of this research is to find out blood glucose level of hyperglicemic male mice (Mus musculus L.) after consuming biscuit made of banana peels (Musa paradisiaca formatypica) flour. This reasearch is done using completely random design with six repetitions and five treatments which is positive controls, negative controls, banana peels flour contain 25%, 50% and 75%. Male mice is treated by feeding with biscuit made of banana peels flour for 14 days continuosly, after previously being induced by aloksan to create hyperglycemic condition in the mice. The results points out that 50% and 75% of banana peels flour can decrease about 34,72% and 34,61% of blood glucose level of a hyperglicemic male mice. The conclusion of this research is that banana peels flour biscuit can decrease the blood glucose level of a hyperglycemic male mice.
