| Summary: | The character is a collection of the good values that became the Foundation of attitudes and behavior guidelines or someone. To cultivate good character this required character education, character education is an effort of the manifestation of the practice the values of pancasila in order to shape the character of the nation in accordance with the values of pancasila. Wayang golek is a traditional art of West Java, in which many contain values of typical life philosophy of the Indonesian nation, including religious values, tolerance, responsibility, mutual, and other values. Giriharja is a community that indirectly has participated in instilling the values of the character education to the community through performances of the wayang golek.;---Karakter merupakan kumpulan nilai-nilai baik yang menjadi landasan atau pedoman sikap dan perilaku seseorang. Untuk menumbuhkan karakter yang baik ini diperlukan pendidikan karakter, pendidikan karakter merupakan usaha dari perwujudan pengamalan nilai-nilai pancasila agar membentuk karakter bangsa sesuai dengan nilai-nilai yang bersumber dari pancasila. Wayang golek merupakan kesenian tradisional jawa barat, yang di dalamnya banyak mengandung nilai-nilai filosofi kehidupan khas bangsa indonesia, diantaranya nilai religi, toleransi, tanggung jawab, gotong royong, dan nilai-nilai lainnya. Giriharja merupakan komunitas masyarakat yang secara tidak langsung telah berpartisipasi dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter terhadap masyarakat melalui pertunjukan wayang golek. |
