Penulis membuat pop-up book sebagai media edukasi anak usia sekolah dasar, sebagai salah satu usaha untuk mengembangkan buku yang kreatif dan interaktif. Dalam pop-up book, terdapat mekanisme pop-up yang memiliki unsur 'kejutan' untuk anak, yang di mana ketika membaca, anak diharapkan akan sama senangnya seperti saat mereka sedang bermain. Mengambil tema tumbuhan, yang dibagi menjadi 2 seri yaitu: bagian-bagian tumbuhan dan tumbuhan monokotil dikotil. Tema tumbuhan diambil karena tumbuhan merupakan salah satu materi pelajaran IPA kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Selain itu tumbuhan merupakan salah satu makhluk Tuhan yang patut dikenali dan disayangi. Pembuatan pop-up book ini melalui proses yang panjang. Dari mulai pemilihan materi, membuat story line, membuat story board, membuat white dummy, proses manual, proses digital, uji coba, hingga didapatkan hasil akhir untuk selanjutnya dicetak dan diproses menjadi sebuah pop-up book. Visualisasi pop-up book ini mengandung desain, tipografi, elemen-elemen layout, dan ilustrasi. Pop-up book ini sendiri memiliki kecenderungan warna yang merepresentasi alam kemudian diolah menjadi warna-warna monokromatik, dengan gaya gambar deformasi menggunakan teknik digital. Penggunakaan lima mekanisme pop-up yang disesuaikan dengan objek, kemudian dalam prosesnya disesuaikan agar pop-up book bisa dengan mudah diproduksi massal. Setiap tujuan, proses, hingga hasil akhir memiliki manfaat untuk dunia akademisi maupun masyarakat umum khususnya dalam ranah media pembelajaran.---A good media of learning is an innovative as well as fun, in order to materialize the child's interaction with the learning media itself. The author makes a pop-up book as an educational medium for elementary school aged children, as an effort to develop creative and interactive books. In a pop-up book, there is a pop-up mechanism that has a 'surprise' element for the child, which is where during reading, the child is expected to be as happy as when they playing. The contents of the book, divided into 2 series namely: plant parts and monokotil-dikotil plants. The theme of the plant is taken because the plant is one of the lesson material of science class II elementary school. In addition, the plant is one of God's creatures that should be recognized and cherished. Making this pop-up book through a long process. From material selection, create storylines, create storyboards, create white dummy, manual process, process trial, and final result is make them into a pop-up book. This pop-up book visualization consists of design, typography, layout elements, and illustrations. Pop-up book itself has a tendency of color that represents nature and then processed into monochromatic colors, with a style of deformation images using digital techniques. Use of five pop-up mechanisms tailored to objects, then in the process to get pop-ups of books easily. Every goal, process, until the end result has benefits for the world of academics and the general public, especially in the realm of learning media. | ||
