| 520 | |a Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya pengaruh negatif dari globalisasi yang menyebabkan adanya degradasi karakter. Salah satunya adalah karakter disiplin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan informasi mengenai program, proses penguatan karakter disiplin melalui program Student Of The Month, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, dan solusi dalam penguatan karakter disiplin peserta didik. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, metode studi kasus dan pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Tempat penelitian di SMA Alfa Centauri Bandung, dengan partisipan penelitian yaitu Kepala Sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan peserta didik. Kesimpulannya yaitu: 1) Program Student Of The Month merupakan penjabaran dari visi, misi, dan target sekolah; 2) proses penguatan karakter disiplin peserta didik dapat dilihat dari proses penilaian program Student Of The Month; 3) Faktor pendukung kegiatan sekolah berasal dari guru dan karyawan, fasilitas, orang tua/wali, dan teman, faktor penghambat yaitu pembagian waktu, perbandingan peserta didik yang mendapatkan penghargaan tidak seimbang, dan lambannya perubahan sikap sebagian peserta didik; 4) Solusinya berkoordinasi dan melakukan evaluasi dengan berbagai pihak, perbaikan sarana dan prasarana, memberikan pemahaman kepada sebagian guru, peserta didik, dan orang tua/wali. ----------This research was motivated by the influence of globalization that entered Indonesia, which caused character degradation, especially among students in schools. The character eroded due to the influence of globalization, one of them is the character of discipline. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the student of the month program in strengthening the character of students' discipline. This study uses a qualitative approach and case study research methods while collecting data using interview techniques, observation and documentation studies. The location of the study was at Alfa Centauri High School, Bandung, with the participants of the study namely the Principal, teachers and students. In conclusion, based on the results of the study, the student of the month program at Alfa Centauri high school made students motivated to carry out the character of discipline. The process of strengthening character education through the student of the month program is closely related to the character of discipline because in the student of the month program there are indicators in choosing students who get student of the month awards.
