| Summary: | Kemampuan representasi merupakan salah satu dari tujuh kemampuan sains yang perlu dikembangkan siswa. Namun, belum banyak penelitian yang mengembangkan kemampuan representasi siswa, khususnya dalam pembuatan instrumen yang dapat mengukur kemampuan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan tes kemampuan representasi siswa ditinjau dari konstruksi dan karakteristik tes tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif yang terdiri dari 2 tahap penting, yaitu tahap konstruksi dan tahap validasi. Sampel dalam uji coba melibatkan 120 siswa yang berasal dari empat SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 16 butir soal pilihan ganda dengan 5 distraktor yang mencakup 3 aspek kemampuan representasi. Berdasarkan validasi ahli, soal memiliki kesesuaian dengan kategori tinggi hingga sangat tinggi. Secara umum, konstruksi tes memenuhi kriteria valid. Karakteristik tes menggunakan analisis teori respon butir dengan model yang sesuai berdasarkan fungsi informasi adalah 3 Parameter Logistik. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik tes memiliki nilai slope (a) sebesar 1,228; threshold (b) 0,2; dan asymptote (c) sebesar 0,153. Perpotongan kurva fungsi informasi dan kesalahan pengukuran pada skala kemampuan peserta sebesar -1,83 sampai 1,77 dengan interpretasi tes dapat menilai kemampuan sedang.; Representational ability is one of the seven scientific abilities that student need to develp. However, there is not much research that develops students' representational abilities, especially in making in making instruments that can measure these abilities. The purpose of this research was to produce a test of student's representational ability in terms of the construction and characteristics of the test. The method used is descriptive quantitative that consisting of 2 important stage, construction and validation. The sample in the trial involved 120 students from 4 senior high schools in Bandung. This research resulted in 16 items multiple choice with 5 distractors covering 3 aspects of representation ability. Based on expert validation, 8 items have high question suitability, whike the other 8 items have very high question suitability. In general, the test construction have valid criteria. Characteristics test using item response theory analysis with an appropriate model based on the information function are 3 logistic parameters. Based on the analysis shows that the test characteristics have a a slope (a) Value of 1,228; threshols (b) of 0,2; and asymptote (c) of 0,153. The division of informasion function curves and standard error of measurement on the participant's ability scale of -1,83 to 1,77 with the interpretation of the test can assess in medium ability. |
