| 520 | |a Terorisme merupakan sebuah isu yang menyita perhatian dunia internasional. Wacana terorisme tersebut sering dikaitkan dengan isu agama dengan doktrin jihad. Namun, faktor agama bukanlah satu-satunya motif dari tindakan para pelaku tersebut. Maka dari itu, untuk membongkar motif dan jati diri pelaku, salah satu aspek yang bisa ditelisik adalah unsur persona pelaku, yaitu sikap. Untuk melihat sikap, area keilmuan linguistik menyediakan piranti analisisnya, yakni dengan appraisal. Dengan menggunakan sistem penilaian appraisal, sikap pengancam dapat digambarkan secara komprehensif. Sistem appraisal dibagi menjadi tiga bagian utama, yaitu attitude, engagement, dan graduation. Namun, analisis dalam penelitian ini terfokus pada sistem attitude (sikap) karena penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sikap para pelaku. Di samping itu, dilakukan juga analisis grafologi terhadap spesimen tulisan tangannya untuk melihat aspek kepribadian dari para pelaku. Data dalam penelitian ini merupakan teks surat ancaman yang diambil dari beberapa media elektronik. Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa pola sikap yang ditampilkan oleh para pelaku teror didominasi oleh bentuk judgement negatif dengan persentase 98,8% dan 1,2% berupa token affect. Dari keseluruhan judgement tersebut, temuan terbanyak adalah token propriety sebanyak 66,2%, veracity sebesar 11,2%, normality sebanyak 7,5%, dan tenacity sebanyak 7,4%. Mayoritas token - token tersebut direalisasikan dengan verba. Kemudian, berdasarkan hasil analisis grafologi, terdapat beberapa tanda yang mengindikasikan adanya kecenderungan persamaan kepribadian dari para pelaku, yaitu: 1) kontrol diri yang tinggi terhadap situasi emosional; 2) menarik diri dari lingkungan sosial; 3) pemikiran yang sempit; 4) egoisme cenderung tinggi; 5) potensi untuk bertindak secara agresif dan ambisius; 6) dorongan motivasi cenderung rendah; 7) kemampuan komunikasi cenderung rendah dengan adanya potensi sifat sarkastik; 8) pola berpikir investigatif; 9) detail, dan 10) daya konsentrasi serta fokus yang baik.;--Terrorism is an issue that has received international attention. That pelakum discourse is often associated with the religion issue related to doctrine of jihad. However, religious factors are not the only motive for the terrorists's actions. Therefore, to uncover the motives and identity of the perpetrators, one aspect that can be examined is the element of terrorist persona, namely attitude. To see attitude, the area of linguistic science provides a tool for analysis, namely appraisal. By using an appraisal assessment system, threatening attitudes can be described comprehensively. The appraisal system is divided into three main parts, namely attitude, engagement, and graduation. However, the analysis in this study focused on the attitude system because this study aims to examine the attitudes of the terrorists. In addition, a graphological analysis of his handwriting specimens was carried out to see the personality aspects of the terrorists. The data in this study are text of threathening letters taken from several electronic media. The results of this study show that the attitude patterns displayed by terrorists are dominated by negative judgement with a percentage of 98.8% and 1.2% of affect token. Most of the judgements are propriety tokens for about 66.2%, and then veracity in 11,2%, normality in 7,5%, and tenacity in 7.4%. Most of the tokens are realized by verbs. Then, based on the results of graphological analysis, there are several signs that indicate the tendency of personality traits from the terrorists, namely: 1) high self-control on emotional situations; 2) withdrawal from the social environment; 3) narrow-mindedness; 4) egoism; 5) the potential to act aggressively and ambitiously; 6) low motivational drives; 7) low communication skills with the potential of being sarcastic; 8) investigative thinking patterns; 9) attention to details, and 10) good concentration and focus. | ||
