| Summary: | Teks cerita inspiratif merupakan salah satu jenis teks baru yang terdapat pada kurikulum 2013 jenjang SMP. Berdasarkan data di lapangan, penggunaan model teks cerita inspiratif yang digunakan siswa tidak bervariasi, padahal teks cerita inspiratif banyak ditemukan di sekitar siswa. Akan tetapi, teks-teks tersebut belum dikaji ketepatannya dari segi fungsi, struktur, dan kaidah kebahasaan sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran di kelas IX. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang teks cerita inspiratif yang terdapat pada buku Lentera Cinta for Teens karya Indrari Mastuti karena genre dan bahasa yang digunakan buku tersebut sesuai dengan perkembangan usia siswa kelas IX ditinjau dari segi karakteristiknya yaitu fungsi, struktur, dan kaidah kebahasaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) fungsi teks cerita inspiratif; 2) struktur teks cerita inspiratif; 3) kaidah kebahasaan teks cerita inspiratif; dan 4) pengembangan bahan ajar teks cerita inspiratif yang terdapat pada buku Lentera Cinta for Teens yang dijadikan sebagai rancangan bahan ajar Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas IX SMP. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi dan menggunakan teori yang berkaitan dengan sastra. Teknik yang digunakan berupa teknik dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri didukung dengan pedoman analisis teks. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) fungsi teks cerita inspiratif yaitu melatih imajinasi, menghibur, menyampaikan pesan didaktis, dan menginspirasi; 2) struktur teks cerita inspiratif terdiri dari orientasi, komplikasi, resolusi, dan koda; 3) kaidah kebahasaan teks cerita inspiratif menggunakan bahasa percakapan, kalimat persuasif, kata kerja tindakan dan kata sifat, kata ganti tunggal maupun jamak, serta dialog; dan 4) pengembangan bahan ajar teks cerita inspiratif untuk siswa kelas IX adalah buku satu bab. Inspirational story text is a new type of text found in the 2013 curriculum for junior high school. Based on data in the field, the inspirational story text models used by students does not vary, whereas inspirational story texts are commonly found around students. However, the texts have not yet been assessed for their accuracy in terms of their functions, structure, and language features in accordance with learning material in grade IX junior high school. Based on this, the researcher conducted research on the inspirational story text contained in the book Lentera Cinta for Teens by Indrari Mastuti because the genre and language used in the book are in accordance with the age development of class IX junior high school students in terms of their characteristics, function, structure, and language rules. This research aims to describe: 1) the function of inspirational story text; 2) the structure of the inspirational story text; 3) language features of inspirational story text; and 4) the development of teaching materials for inspirational story text contained in the book Lentera Cinta for Teens which was used as a design of teaching materials for Indonesian Language Subjects in grade IX junior high school. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis techniques and using theories related to literature. The technique used in the form of documentation techniques. The research instrument was the researcher herself supported by text analysis guidelines. The results of this research indicate that: 1) the function of inspirational story texts is to exercise the imagination skill, entertain, deliver didactic messages, and inspire; 2) the structure of the inspirational story text consists of orientation, complications, resolution, and coda; 3) the language features of inspirational story text use the language of conversation, persuasive sentences, action verbs and adjectives, singular or plural pronouns, and dialogue; and 4) the development of teaching materials for inspiring story texts for class IX students is a one-chapter book.
