Summary:This research was aimed to redesign the existing syllabus for Bee 1 and Bee 2 in think e to clarify the steps how to redesign the existing syllabus to be an effective syllabus for Bee 1 and Bee 2 level. The subject of this study was the syllabus for teaching Bee 1 and Bee 2 level. It was evaluated and analyzed to be redesigned into an appropriate syllabus for young learners. The researcher also used SWOT to analyze the existing syllabus. The result found several factors that made the existing syllabus for Bee 1 and Bee 2 should be redesigned. The factors were the standard format of the syllabus, the content of Theme-Based syllabus design, students' competence, and the teachers' obstacles in creating lesson planning. The content of the syllabus were the course description, basic and standard competence, themes, materials, activities, methodology, and tasks. Then, the steps to redesign the previous syllabus in think e was evaluating the previous syllabus, understanding the students' characteristics, and finding out the students' needs in learning English. Continually, to make a strong foundation in learning English for young learners, the study recommended to apply a strategy to build the students' critical thinking and encouraged the students to be active in the lesson.
